This is a tour literally years in the making! One of our all time favorite
destinations is NOVA SCOTIA and the Atlantic Maritime Provinces of Prince
Edward Island and New Brunswick! In what we truly believe is the BEST
ITINERARY ever offered to this region - we’re proud to present this once in a
lifetime trip to Eastern Canada. Featuring music, history, great food,
entertainment, culture, experiential opportunities - we invite you to look
closely at this itinerary and compare value! You’ve wanted to see the best of
Nova Scotia and the Maritimes - here it is!
Don’t Miss This One!
SEE MORE - DO MORE - DISCOVER
MORE - ENJOY MORE!

Day 1 - Today we make our way north to New York State for the
night. En route, we’ll discuss our adventure which
includes everything from the Titanic to Indian Legends, stories
of courage to amazing music and precision drill parades, great
food to a stroll along the OCEAN FLOOR, culture and
heartwarming stories! We’re off on a wondrous adventure!

Day 2 - This morning, we cross through lower New England to
make our way to Portland, Maine. This evening, we enjoy
an included Seafood Dinner (alternate choices available!).

Day 3 - We get an early start today as we board the CAT Ferry
for a 5 hour crossing of the Bay of Fundy to Yarmouth, Nova
Scotia. Landing in Yarmouth this
afternoon, we make our way to HALIFAX for a two night stay -
we
visit St. Mary’s Church - the largest wooden church in North
America.
Later this afternoon, we’ll learn about the history of the Acadian
Expulsion and
the story of Longfellow’s EVANGELINE near the scenic
Annapolis Valley. Hear how the Acadians almost came to
Virginia instead of Louisiana! This evening, we
enjoy a (included) wonderful dinner in the quaint fishing village
of PEGGY’S COVE before we check in. Known the world over
for it’s huge granite boulders that guard the harbor - fresh
seafood and wonderful gingerbread await!

Day 4 - Halifax & her stories! The largest city in Nova Scotia has
many stories to share and we’ll begin with the Titanic
connection today. Visit the final resting place of over 100 people
from the famed ‘unsinkable ship’. You’ll also learn of the horrific
explosion in the Halifax Harbor caused when two ships collided
and the connection with Boston. You’ll have an opportunity to
stroll through the beautiful Public Gardens before we spend
some time on the waterfront! Sail aboard a Tall Ship - the
Mar on a ‘pirate cruise’ in the 2nd deepest natural harbor in the
world. Tonight, we have another included dinner before we see
a grand extravaganza of music, dance and military precision
drills at the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. This is an
unbeliveable spectacular that will leave you breathless
with over 2,000 of performers from all across the world!
Day 5 & 6 - The CABOT TRAIL, CAPE
BRETON and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum!
Another 2 night stay awaits on Cape Breton Island. Crossing the
Canso Causeway, we spend both nights near the water. The
stories of Nova Scotia await as we enter the region known for
it’s diverse scenery and listed as one of National
Geographic’s ‘most scenic drives’!

Day 6, we’ll make our way around the 185 mile Cabot Trail,
making photo stops along the way. The region from Belle
Cote to the entrance of the Cape Breton National Highlands is
rich with Acadian culture. One of the highlights will be stopping
at Alexander Graham Bell’s Museum in Baddeck. We all know
of Bell’s telephone but you may be surprised at his array of
inventions as well as those of his accomplished wife. Enjoy
true Acadian hospitality as we stop for lunch with a little
shopping along the way and share music of the region. Cape
Breton has some of the most beautiful music anywhere in
Canada! Hear about the salmon industry, now over 100 years
old in Nova Scotia as we spend a day exploring the riches of the
Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Island.
ONE OF THE MOST SCENIC DRIVES IN
THE WORLD AS LISTED BY NATIONAL
GEOGRAPHIC AND LONELY PLANET!
SEE FIRSTHAND THE
MAGIC OF THE
MARITIMES!
Day 7 & 8 - Prince Edward Island -
& Anne of Green Gables We’ll travel via the water again as a
short ferry awaits to carry us across the Northumberland Straits
as we head for the smallest of the three provinces that
we visit is Prince Edward Island. The island is known for it’s
amazing potato production (fields line the roadside) and
remains largely agricultural. Known by the Mi’kmaq Indians as
Abegweit- often translated as ‘the cradle of the waves’ -
we’ll share the legend of how this island was created. Often
called ‘Canada’s Million Acre Farm’ - now about half of the
island’s 1.3 million acres is cultivated. The city of Charlottetown
is where the government of Canada began with the
Confederation Conference in 1864! This is also the the
Centennial Celebration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s much loved
story - Anne of Green Gables. We’ll celebrate the 100th
Anniversary by attending the presentation at the
Confederation Arts Centre. On Day 8, you’ll also visit the home
that inspired the story. The wonderful food continues as we
enjoy a delightful Lobster Supper (included) this evening
after we explore the regions near Summerside and Cavendish.
We’ll make some time to visit the shops along the downtown
area which include one of our favorites - Cow’s Ice Cream!
You’ll also hear an amazing story of hope and long distance
love as we share the Miracle at Mermaid Lake with you today.
T
RULY AN ISLAND TREASURE - PRINCE
EDWARD ISLAND IS ALWAYS A
FAVORITE!

Day 9 - New Brunswick - Lobsters, Legends and Lore!
The last of our Canadian Maritime Provinces is New Brunswick.
Often overlooked or simply passed through by many folks, we’ll
spend two nights in this province. This morning we cross the
Northumberland Straits again - this time via the 9 mile long
serpentine shaped Confederation Bridge. Shown on the
Discovery Channel for it’s innovative design to
prevent ice damage from the tremendous icebergs that pass
through here - it is an engineering marvel. Another great day of
hand on experience awaits as we visit the Lobstering Village of
Shediac. Today you can help pull lobster traps (or just observe!)
as we enjoy the stories of lobster aboard a lobster boat - yes we
get to eat what we’ve caught! Learn more than you thought
possible about lobsters and the folks who work to bring them
to your table. Hear more Mi’kmaq Legends and stories from the
sea as we enjoy the bounty of New Brunswick!
NEW EXPERIENCES AWAIT US IN
THE 3RD MARITIME PROVINCE WE
VISIT - CATCH YOUR OWN LOBSTER
AND WATCH FOR MAJESTIC WHALES
IN NEW BRUNSWICK!
Day 10 - WHALES and a walk on
the Ocean Floor ! In this rich ecosystem, the largest sea
creatures spend their summers. The Bay of Fundy - with the
world’s highest recorded tides - will afford us two rare gifts
today. We’ll take a whale watching cruise where we may
see finback whales, humpback  whales and maybe even one of
the rarest of all - the North Atlantic Right whale (only 350 left -
this is their mating ground!). Experienced guides share
information and help us spot these often playful creatures.
Another amazing treat is set for today as we visit Hopewell
Rocks. Again, because of the amazing tidal changes here in the
Bay of Fundy region, we’ll be able to experience a walk on the
Ocean Floor! See the effects of 100 billion TONS of water! As
the bay draws back her watery cloak, you can actually walk
where the ocean rested only hours before. See the Flowerpot
Rocks, carved by melting glaciers and then sculpted by the
world’s highest tides. Two unbelievably unique experiences
today as we stop to see what most folks drive by!
WALK ON THE OCEAN FLOOR!
Days 11 & 12
Crossing the US Border today, we make our way to Connecticut
area. We visit a Duty Free Shop before we cross the border to
allow for some last minute gift shopping and to take
advantage of some terrific buys on fragrances, wine, chocolates
and more! We’ll spend the night near Stamford.
Day 12 will carry us on home as we travel back through the
Shenandoah Valley - enjoying our memories of the
Summer Magic of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New
Brunswick - the Atlantic Maritimes of Canada!

GENERAL INFORMATION
Summer is a beautiful time to experience the Maritime provinces of
Atlantic Canada as the temperatures are usually more mild than we
experience at home. You can check the weather via the internet or the
Weather Channel as both regularly post forecasts for eastern Canada. As
of this printing, the exchange rates between U.S. and Canadian currencies
is virtually even. Should this change, we will keep you apprised before our
travel dates. Many travelers prefer to use credit cards while traveling as
card companies automatically make the conversion rates for you and you
are billed in U.S. dollars. We estimate that you will need approximately
$350-400 per person for meals that not included in this package, plus any
shopping you may wish to do. While we are traveling, we will be sharing
music, videos and stories. During our many previous visits to the area, we
have acquired many stories that we believe will bring insight to the areas
in which we travel and the people who live there, thereby enhancing
your overall experience to Atlantic Canada. Bring a friend and come
along as we see more, do more, discover more and ENJOY MORE in
Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.
